TA Minus (Total Alkalinity)

TA Reducer Information

TA Reducer is used to decrease the total alkalinity (TA) of pool water. Ideal pool water conditions exist with a total alkalinity between 80–150 ppm.

Use this liquid acid product for fast and effective TA reduction without increasing sulphate levels. Please read instructions on the product before use. For more information on chemicals and water treatment, there are documents and downloads available in our Resources section.

Total alkalinity is a measure of the water's ability to resist pH change.

Application Instructions

1. Carefully pour the product into one area (‘slug’ dosed) at the deep end of the pool with the pump(s) running. If large quantities are required, it may be necessary to apply over several days while testing the total alkalinity between each application.
2. After completing the treatment, test and adjust the pH level if necessary.

Important: This product should be handled with care. It is advised to wear goggles, gloves, and a mask respirator during use.
