What is a Swimming Pool Heat Pump?
A swimming pool heat pump is a more environmentally friendly alternative to other pool heating devices such as gas, oil, or solar heaters and is often more cost-efficient! Plus, with the right maintenance, a swimming pool heat pump can last ten years or longer!
Keep in mind there are different types of heat pumps to consider.
Unlike inverter heat pumps, these standard on/off heat pumps are simple and easy to use. Simply flick the power on, and you’re good to go! We offer high-quality swimming pool heat pumps from a range of top brands, including Hayward, Nirvana, and Heat Perfector.
A swimming pool heat pump is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to heat their swimming pool without maxing out their energy bills.
These energy-efficient devices are designed to work with your pool’s existing pump and filtration system to generate hot water and circulate it around your pool. Not only does this mean you can have your swimming pool at an optimum temperature, but it will also clean your pool!
We have some of the best standard on/off heat pumps on the market available, including the reliable Nirvana Swimming Pool Heat Pump.
Or the Heat Perfect - 3 Phase Pool Heat Pump will offer you the high efficiency you need to keep your pool warm.
How Do Heat Pumps Work?
Rather than generating its own heat, a heat pump will use a small amount of electricity to power a fan, which will then capture heat from the surrounding air.
This air then goes through a compressor within the pump to increase the temperature before transferring it into your pool via a water condenser. Once your pool has absorbed the hot water from the pump, the cycle will start again.
Swimming pool heat pumps are most efficient when the air outside is 7 degrees Celsius or higher, which makes them perfect for that first spring swim!
Do I Need a Swimming Pool Heat Pump?
