Hot Tub Filter Cartridges

Most hot tub filters come in the form of cylindrical filter cartridges made up of pleated folds of filter paper or fabric that trap dirt. This filtering method offers an easy and convenient way for hot tub owners to keep their water clean and sparkling.

We stock hot tub filter cartridges in various sizes to ensure you can find a product that’ll serve your spa well.

Hot Tub Replacement Filter Cartridges

Hot tub filter cartridges work hard to capture the dirt, debris, oil and general grime that’s present in your water. The pleated paper or fabric of the cartridge traps tiny particles when your pump passes water through the filter system.

While hot tub cartridge filters are relatively sturdy, they won’t last forever. Because they do so much heavy lifting to keep your water contaminant-free, you will need to replace your cartridge around once a year. These filters are very affordable, so it’s worth swapping them out when you notice your old filter begins to deteriorate.

If you don’t replace your hot tub cartridge filter when necessary, it won’t be as effective as removing pollutants, leaving you with unclean, unpleasant water even if you’re using all the right hot tub chemicals

How to Clean a Hot Tub Filter Cartridge

To ensure your filter cartridges stay in top form for as long as possible, it’s a good idea to clean them regularly. A simple rinse with water every few days or between each use will quickly get rid of any build-up in the filter.

In periods of heavy use, you should also use a hot tub filter cleaner once a week to ensure your filter is completely free of dirt and can capture newly introduced pollutants more effectively. Leave your filter to soak in a filter cleaner solution for several hours before thoroughly rinsing it with water and returning it to your hot tub.

You can also use filter cartridge cleaning nozzles that attach to your hose to make flushing out every part of the filter much easier.
