A big advantage to owning a robot cleaner is the self contained filter, which is easily cleaned. They also cover the pool brilliantly and in a planned and efficiently mapped route (some models), some models have on board computers or remote controls! As these are using electricity they are not subject to working off the filtration/suction so they work independently thus producing no resistance or back pressure on the filtering. Electric pool cleaners are operated by two motors: a pump motor which draws debris into the unit's filter, and a drive motor which moves the unit around the pool. They are extremely well engineered and will provide you with many years of excellent service.
