Why Use Stabilised Chlorine Tablets?

Use 20g stabilised chlorine tablets to provide reliable, ongoing disinfection of pool and spa water. The active ingredient, trichloroisocyanuric acid, works to kill bacteria and control algae, while the stabilising agent helps protect chlorine from being broken down by sunlight. This means your sanitiser stays active for longer, helping to maintain cleaner and safer water throughout the day.

How Do Stabilised Chlorine Tablets Work?

The tablets dissolve gradually over around 3–5 days, depending on water flow and circulation. Because they release chlorine slowly, they are best used as part of a regular maintenance routine. In some cases, it may be necessary to shock dose or oxidise the water before first use to quickly establish correct chlorine levels.

To keep water safe and balanced, maintain the following levels:

• Pools: 1–3 mg/l (ppm)
• Spas: 3–5 mg/l (ppm)

Always adjust pH to the ideal range of 7.2–7.6 before use to ensure effective sanitisation and user comfort.

Prior to using this product, adjust the pH levels to the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6 to promote bather comfort, plant protection and effective chemical use.

These smaller chlorine tablets are designed for use with chlorine feeders or with floating dispensers. They will slowly erode over a period of 3 - 5 days, depending on the water flowing over them. As they release chlorine relatively slowly it may be necessary to shock dose or oxidise prior to their use to first establish some chlorine more rapidly. 

Application Instructions

WARNING – DO NOT ADD DIRECTLY TO A POOL AND ALWAYS USE A CLEAN APPLICATOR AS BELOW WITH NO OTHER PRODUCTS PRESENT.

Floating Dispenser: Fill the Trichlor floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 1–3 mg/l (ppm) desired range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 1–3 mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the pool while swimmers are bathing.

Chlorine Feeders: Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain 1–3 mg/l (ppm) chlorine levels.

Handling and storage

• Always wear appropriate PPE when handling pool chemicals

• Never mix with other chemicals
• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight
• Keep tightly sealed when not in use
