EGFM - Environmental Glass Filter Media

Yesterday we wereat the Spatex swimming pool exhibition in Brighton where 1st Direct Pools distributed samples of its new eco glass filter media called environmental glass Filter media or EGFM for short. There is an emerging amount of this product arriving on the market with its outstanding cleaning properties and prolonged life making it a fantastic new filter media over and above traditional sand.

The eco product is all sourced from two main suppliers within the UK and there is nothing special to differentiate any of the different types dispite claims that some people make. You may find people selling EGFM of AFM under different names and claiming that it does a better job whereas infact it's all the same.
