The 1.5" Hydrostatic Relief Valve (ABS) is designed to protect swimming pool structures from damage caused by groundwater pressure beneath the pool. When a pool is emptied or partially drained, groundwater surrounding the pool can create hydrostatic pressure that pushes upward against the pool shell. If this pressure is not relieved, it can lead to cracking, lifting, or structural damage.

Installed in the main drain at the bottom of the pool, this valve automatically opens when groundwater pressure below the pool becomes greater than the pressure inside the pool. This allows groundwater to safely enter the pool, equalising the pressure and preventing damage to the pool structure.

Manufactured from durable ABS plastic, the valve offers corrosion resistance and long service life in submerged environments. The 1.5" threaded connection ensures compatibility with many standard pool drain fittings, making it suitable for use in concrete and in-ground swimming pool installations.
