FAQS
What other names is pH Reducer known by?
pH Reducer is also referred to as pH Minus, Dry Acid, or Sodium Bisulfate.
Is it safe to swim in a pool with high pH levels?
A pH of 7 is neutral. Levels above 7 are alkaline, while anything below indicates acidity. Factors like rainfall and the number of swimmers can influence pH. If the pH exceeds 8, it can cause skin irritation or rashes, and a pH below 7 may irritate the eyes. Regularly checking the pH ensures safer and more comfortable swimming.
Where can pH Reducer be used?
pH Reducer is suitable for pools and spas. The 1.5kg size is ideal for above-ground pools, hot tubs, or general pool maintenance.
What else can I do to manage pH levels?
To help maintain pH balance:
- Use a pool cover to reduce evaporation, which can concentrate minerals and increase alkalinity.
- Regularly remove debris like leaves, grass, and organic waste, as they can raise pH levels. A pool cleaner or net can help with this.
Proper water chemistry ensures a better swimming experience and protects your pool’s surfaces and equipment from chemical imbalances. If you need further advice on managing pH levels, feel free to contact our team.
