Chlorine tablets offer a popular method for keeping your pool clean, safe and properly sanitised. Reliable, effective and easy to use, they’re essential for your swimming pool maintenance routine.
Whether you need 20g or 200g tablets, we stock premium products that’ll help you get the job done.
Chlorine Tablets For Your Pool
Chlorine is one of the most important swimming pool chemicals as it effectively eradicates dirt and contaminants in your water, keeping it clean, sparkling and safe for swimming in.
Pool chlorine tablets can be easily added to a floating dispenser and left to slowly disperse through your water over a period of 3-5 days. This straightforward application makes it fairly easy to maintain the ideal pool chlorine level of 1-3 ppm.
If tablets aren’t quite right for your pool, we also stock chlorine granules to help keep your swimming pool in good shape.
Pool Chlorine Tablet Sizes
If you’re using a chlorine feeder, you’ll likely require the smaller 20g chlorine tablets. For larger pools and for use with floating dispensers, the 200g chlorine tablets are more suited.
Chlorine Pool Tablets Shelf-Life
When stored correctly, chlorinated tablets for pools have a long shelf life of around 3-5 years. Ensure you make the most out of these products by keeping them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Multifunctional Chlorine Tablets
All of our slow-dissolving pool chlorine tablets are designed to sanitise your pool. The multifunctional tablets are slightly different from the other products in that they contain additional products to help keep your pool in the best possible condition without the need to add further chemicals separately.
Our multifunctional chlorine pool tablets contain stabilised chlorine, algaecide and clarifier.
Using Chlorine Tablets With Pool Shock
As chlorine tablets are slow release, you’ll also need to use a pool shock treatment around once a week or fortnightly to ‘reset’ your pool, rapidly increase chlorine levels and eradicate chloramines.
You will need to regularly test your chlorine levels to see whether it’s necessary to add more chlorine tablets or shock your pool. See our guide on how to use a chlorine test kit to find out more about understanding the chemical levels in your pool.
