About the InverHero Variable Speed Pool Pump
The InverHero is a full inverter pump with a permanent magnet (PMSM) motor. In plain English, that means it doesn't just have two or three fixed speeds. You set it anywhere from 30% to 120% in 5% steps, or tell it the flow you want in m³/h and let it work out the speed itself.
That second option, Auto Inverter mode, is the clever bit. The pump checks the pressure in your pipework and adjusts as your filter gets dirtier or a valve gets moved, so you keep getting the flow you set. Power use drops off sharply as a motor slows down, so running the pump slower for longer is where the real savings come from.
Everything is on the touch panel on top of the pump: four timers, a one-press backwash, a skimmer mode that gives the surface a regular boost, and a live reading of power use. You can also run it from your phone through the InverFlow app over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, or hook it into a controller using the RS485, digital or analogue inputs.
There are four sizes, IH20, IH24, IH30 and IH40, covering pools from about 30 m³ up to 120 m³.

Warranty
The InverHero comes with a 2 year warranty. The manufacturer will repair or replace any part that proves faulty in that time. The warranty doesn't cover poor installation, misuse, tampering or the use of non-original spare parts, so please get it fitted by a qualified installer and wired by an electrician through a 30mA RCD. Give us a call if you have a problem and we'll take you through the claim.
Domestic Pumps not warranted to run 24 hours a day.
Frequently asked questions
How much can a variable speed pump really save?
It depends on how you run it, but the savings come from running slower for longer. The manufacturer's own example for a 60 m³ pool puts the InverHero at about 1.2 kWh a day, against roughly 7.2 kWh a day for a typical 1.5kW single speed pump doing the same job. Your numbers will vary, but most owners see their pump costs drop a lot.
Which InverHero size do I need?
Start with your pool volume. IH20 suits roughly 30-50 m³, IH24 40-70 m³, IH30 60-90 m³ and IH40 80-120 m³. If you have a heat pump, solar or a long run to the plant room, it's often worth going one size up. Our tech team are happy to check it for you.
What's the difference between Manual and Auto Inverter mode?
In Manual mode you pick the speed as a percentage, from 30% to 120%. In Auto mode you pick a flow rate in m³/h and the pump keeps adjusting its speed to hold that flow as your filter clogs up. It runs a short self-learning cycle the first time you switch to Auto.
Does the InverHero need Wi-Fi to work?
No. Everything can be set on the touch panel on the pump. Wi-Fi just lets you control it from the InverFlow app. If you do use it, your router needs a 2.4GHz network, as the pump won't join a 5GHz-only network.
What do the error codes on the display mean?
The common ones are E207 (no water, so check the pump is primed), E209 (loss of prime), E001 (input voltage problem) and E101 (heat sink overheating). AL01 is a high temperature warning where the pump slows itself down, and AL02 means the supply voltage is low. The full list is in the manual, or just call us with the code.
Can the InverHero be used with a salt chlorinator?
Yes, it's rated for salt pools up to 0.5% (5 g/l).
