Bayrol - Chlorilong Classic Bloc 500g - large slow dissolving stabilised chlorine tablet (symclosene)
Bayrol Chlorilong® Classic Bloc 500g
Bayrol Chlorilong® Classic Bloc is a large slow-release chlorine tablet developed for long-term swimming pool disinfection. It steadily releases stabilised chlorine to destroy bacteria, viruses, fungi and organic impurities while helping maintain a consistent disinfectant level.
The 500g block uses Bayrol's A.P.O.® compression technology for slow, even dissolution. It leaves no residue, does not cloud the water and is suitable for pools with all types of filtration systems.
Chlorilong® Classic Bloc is particularly useful at the end of the swimming season or during periods when the pool will not be used regularly. In water below 18°C, one block can provide protection for up to 2 months. During warmer conditions, it can be used every 2–3 weeks, depending on water temperature and filtration time.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Chlorilong® Classic Bloc last?
In water below 18°C, one block can provide protection for up to 2 months. In warmer water, it will usually need replacing every 2–3 weeks.
Can I use it while my pool is open during summer?
Yes. It can be used during the swimming season, although it will dissolve more quickly in warmer water and when the filtration system runs for longer periods.
Where should I place the block?
Remove the lid and place the complete container directly into the skimmer basket. Do not place the bare chlorine block into the pool.
Does it prevent algae?
The block provides long-lasting chlorine disinfection, but Bayrol recommends using a suitable algaecide alongside it for regular algae prevention.
Will it leave residue in the pool?
No. The block dissolves cleanly and will not leave residue or cloud the water when used correctly.
Is it suitable for liner pools?
Yes, provided the block remains in its container and is placed in the skimmer. Direct contact with a liner or painted surface may cause bleaching or damage.
