Swimming Pool Heat Pumps

We have spent a considerable amount of time in researching the most cost effective and efficient swimming pool heat pumps in the market.  We stock all major brands and sizes with seamless delivery options.  Our in-house experts can walk you through the best products for your needs.

The latest generation of swimming pool heat pumps actually harness heat in the air. They can work even when the external temperature is as low as -15°C but are more efficient with warmer air temperatures.  So how does a heat pump work? Quite simply, a heat pump is a refrigerator working in reverse! The heat pump draws the outside air through an evaporator which collects the heat from the air, which even at a paltry 10°C, amounts to five free units for every two you pay for.

The heat collected is passed through a compressor and on to a condenser through which the swimming pool water is pumped on its way from the filter and back to the pool. You don’t want the trouble of constantly monitoring the heating of your pool so most heat pumps are fully automatic with one control - the pool water thermostat! Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are super-efficient with COP (co-efficiency of performance) of up to 5:1, this means you put in £1 in electricity and the Heat Pump gives you £5 worth of heat to the pool.
