Sodium Hypochlorite (Liquid Shock) 9-10% with Calgon

This chlorine donor may be used for routine control of bacteria and algae in swimming pools. It may also be used for shock or oxidising as and when required, due to its relative rapid reactivity. 

Ideal Levels 

Using a test kit, test chlorine and pH regulary and maintain below as:

Chlorine: 1-3 ppm (mg/lt)

pH: 7.2 - 7.6

To ensure at least 1ppm (mg/lt) chlorine it is often sensible to provide some 'buffer' by aiming for a higher level, especially if manually dosing. This chlorine donor is alkaline so readjust pH after application to the ideal range above, to promote bather comfort, plant protection and effective chemical use. 

Application Instructions

When manually dosing add this product to the pool whilst the pump(s) are turned 'on', preferably next to the water inlets to aid distribution. 

General Precautions Dosing

• Never mix with other chemicals including household cleaners as a dangerous reaction may occur. 
• Wear eye and face protection and ensure liquid is poured away from face and body. 
• If pre-diluting before adding to pools always use a clean container and add product to water not vice versa.

Dosing / Storage 

Handle products in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors. Ensure lid is replaced and sealed after use - store in a cool, dry place. Wash hands after use.
